For 2x C 500 camera, mirror rig

Our company offers a high-performance underwater stereoscopic filming system. Housed within a custom, purpose-built underwater enclosure, the rig is composed of two Canon C500 cameras, each equipped with a 4K Super 35 sensor. The two cameras are positioned at a 90° angle to one another — one horizontal, one vertical — around a semi-transparent mirror set at 45°. This beamsplitter divides the incoming light: part is transmitted through to the lower camera, while the rest is reflected up to the upper camera. This configuration, known as a “mirror rig,” produces a natural, precisely controlled 3D effect by allowing the interaxial distance between the two viewpoints to be reduced far beyond what a side-by-side setup permits — a key advantage for close-range and confined underwater subjects.

Inside the tailor-made housing, a single operator retains full access to all critical camera and lens functions — focus, iris, zoom, and recording controls — allowing real-time adjustment to fast-moving marine subjects and changing light conditions without breaking the shot or surfacing.
